Nissan Formula E Team is delighted to announce its collaboration with Nissan’s joint venture in China, Dongfeng Nissan, for all three ABB FIA Formula E World Championship rounds in China for Season 12.
The partnership was announced today by Dongfeng Nissan’s managing director Isao Sekiguchi at the Beijing Auto Show, with Nissan CEO Ivan Espinosa and Nissan Formula E Team’s managing director and team principal Tommaso Volpe also in attendance.
Dongfeng Nissan is a joint venture between Dongfeng Motor Group and Nissan Motors, which produces passenger cars under the Nissan marque in China. With China being the only country to host more than two Formula E races during Season 12, this is the perfect opportunity to showcase Nissan’s innovative EV technology, as well as an exciting experience of a global motorsports event for the local fans.
The partnership will see Dongfeng Nissan’s branding feature prominently on Nissan Formula E Team’s race cars, as well as on the drivers’ overalls and garage walls for Round 11 of the 2025/26 campaign in Sanya and for Rounds 12 and 13 at Shanghai International Circuit. Additionally, Dongfeng Nissan will also run activations at both events, with guest programmes and fan activities showcasing the latest Nissan EV’s.
Formula E returns to Sanya for the first time since 2019 on 19-20 June, before heading to Shanghai International Circuit for a double-header on 3-5 July.
